In general there are two types of under-floor heating widely used water based and electric.
In water system under-floor heating, pipes connected to the central heating with it is own circuits and separate control systems area bit more elaborate then the electric under-floor heating.
The electrical under-floor heating usually comes wires on a mesh and if needed they can be adjusted to the room shape when laying on the floor.
